Help the Coalition for Immigrant Freedom Keep Serving Our Community
With your generous support the Coalition has been providing much needed emergency relief to immigrant families who cannot benefit from federal relief programs. Over the last 8 months, the Coalition has:
- Re-distributed close to $850,000 to more than 1,000 families.
- Operated a weekly food distribution program that delivered grocery boxes and hot meals to approximately 150 families each week.
- Continuously provided virtual legal consultations, KYRs, and legal clinics.
- Our Manhattan Worker Center continues distributing PPE, dispatching essential workers to jobs, and providing safety training.
We have been working tirelessly despite severe budget cuts and exorbitant delays in payment from government funding sources.
Now we urgently need your help to sustain our ability to continue meeting our community’s needs. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the Coalition typically served 8,000 families a year. During this pandemic, however, we have gotten as many as 4,000 calls for help in a month.
