In response to the overwhelming number of subway delays, accidents, and breakdowns, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez & Assembly Member Jeff Dinowitz are planning the first ever "The Riders' Respond" Transit Tour. During this tour of the subway system, volunteers will hear and log riders' opinions and challenges while using NYC's subway, as well as examine stations in need of maintenance. The data collected will be used at the NYC Council Transportation Committee's hearing on the MTA, scheduled for August 8th, 10:00 AM at City Hall.

NMCIR is taking a trip to Albany! Join us on Saturday, February 18, at 7:30 AM, in the lobby of our building, to demand that New York State steps up and provides universal representation for detained immigrants (NYIFUP) at the 46th Annual Weekend Conference with the NYS Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators.

In larger numbers than ever, the fight to keep families together will go down in our immigration court rooms. Let's come together in numbers too big to ignore to demand that New York State step up by rallying in our state capitol. Transportation to and from Albany, as well snacks, will be provided.
